I started my beauty therapy business with the help of the Prince’s Trust Charity, who gave me a small grant and some business mentorship. At the time, I had no security and a little one to support — so I had a lot of determination.

There was very little education available on intimate waxing, ingrown hairs, or male treatments. So I adapted my techniques in a way that was more personalised to each individual’s needs and preferences, rather than following standard treatment methods and techniques.

One day while treating ingrown hairs, something truly amazing happened — A slight hook had naturally formed on the end, and it allowed me to lift the hair out without disturbing the skin. I noticed I could remove ingrown hairs in a way I could not achieve with a standard pointy tweezer.

My clients would constantly ask, “Where can I buy that tweezer?” — they loved watching it remove the ingrowns with ease. That’s why the slogan on the box became:
“Enjoy the feeling.”

I kept it as my secret tool for over 20 years.

Eventually, I launched the IngrownOut® Tweezer and the first-ever Ingrown Hair Course, both of which were proudly accredited and endorsed by HABIA (The Hair and Beauty Industry Authority in the UK).
This marked a turning point in the industry — a new scope of professional work that finally addressed a real problem so many people were suffering with in silence.

When ingrown hairs are left untreated, they can lead to infection, medical intervention, and in some cases, even operations.

Over time, I realised the issue wasn’t just removing ingrowns — it was the lack of deeper understanding around:

There were no other courses anywhere in the world that covered what I had personally witnessed through real, long-term client experience.

After moving to the USA, I completed my Esthetician training in 2024. I quickly realised how valuable my 20+ years of experience truly was — because even with updated education, much of what I knew still wasn’t being taught.

So I decided to teach more from my experience.

I combined my hands-on knowledge with further study in skin science to create something new — a professional pathway that had never existed before:
